Era il 1990 ed il Politeama Rossetti per la prima volta si lasciava invadere dalle figure fantasiose del mondo del musical. E che musical! Il Teatro Stabile regionale partì subito dal titolo più irriverente e travolgente: The Rocky Horror Show… Il pubblico sarebbe stato al gioco? Si sarebbe potuto contare sulla cultura e tradizione musicale e sulla mente aperta degli spettatori del Friuli Venezia Giulia? La scommessa non era scontata… I risultati però sono stati positivi da subito. E dieci anni dopo si rilanciò: questa volta era un “cartellone” dedicato al musical ad essere varato. Nuovamente la risposta del pubblico fu incoraggiante come pure l’entusiasmo con cui lo staff del Teatro iniziò ad affrontare i problemi tecnici e organizzativi connessi all’ospitalità di spettacoli appartenenti a un genere ancora “inusuale” per i palcoscenici istituzionali… E oggi? I traguardi raggiunti sono sotto gli occhi di tutti: se l’identità forte dello Stabile rimane legata al campo della produzione e della prosa, in questi anni nell’ambito del Musical sono state conquistate importanti posizioni. Sono stati dati titoli di qualità crescente e alle produzioni italiane s’intreccia con sempre maggior decisione un repertorio di “edizioni originali” inglesi e americane di altissimo livello. Di conseguenza Trieste si sta confermando una delle piazze italiane più ambite dalle compagnie internazionali, capace di accogliere spettacoli che abitualmente circuitano nelle grandi capitali europee: basti pensare a Cats, Mamma Mia!, Chicago, West Side Story, Evita… L’apertura del cartellone 2010-2011 è l’occasione per festeggiare questi traguardi con uno show internazionale (prima di Trieste sarà in scena a Vienna e Monaco di Baviera) che raccoglie i brani e le coreografie più celebri dei musical di Broadway: ecco dunque Musical Rocks! Una vera festa che alternerà scatenati numeri d’assieme a duetti romantici e indimenticabili: da Moulin Rouge a Hair, da Beauty and the Beast a High School Musical, da Jesus Christ Superstar a The Phantom of the Opera, passando per Evita, Re Leone, Elisabeth, Tanz der Vampire, Mamma Mia!... Un’occasione da non perdere per rivivere i successi che hanno accompagnato le stagioni recenti del Rossetti, e per scoprire nuovi musical che magari arriveranno in futuro sul palcoscenico di Trieste. Interessante il cast, con un corpo di ballo di otto elementi che fa da contorno a sei cantanti-interpreti selezionati fra i protagonisti delle più prestigiose produzioni di musical europee. A iniziare la serata naturalmente saranno le note del Time Warp dal Rocky Horror Show!

IL CAST
JULIA BERGER
Julia was trained at Palucca Dance School in Dresden while taking singing classes at H.-Schütz Conservatory, followed by musical studies at the University of Arts Berlin, where she was awarded for her final exam piece "Frauenzimmer".
Already during her studies Julia made her stage debut with the Vocal Jazz Connection in a Wynton Marsalis composition performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra Berlin under Claudio Abbado, starred in Sondheim's Assassins and Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats as Sillabub and Rumpleteaser. After finishing University, she played Ali in Mamma Mia! and Annette and Stephanie in Saturday Night Fever. Then for a change she appeared as one of the furies in the operetta Orpheus in the underworld by Jacques Offenbach, but went back to musical theatre for the hippie life in Hair. Since 2007 Julia can be seen and heard as Scaramouche and Ozzy in We Will Rock You.
Other credits: Julia appears as lead singer in several band projects, such as Musical Meets Rock , Cydonia or the Ladies ́Orchestra Salomé..
VINCENT BUENO
The winner of the ORF program “Musical – the Show” is at the moment on stage at the Vindobona in Vienna, playing a role in the “Jägerstrasse”. Lastly he played the character of Jean Claude, among other musical stars such as Alfons Haider, in “La Cage aux Folles” in Stockerau. Before this engagement he was on stage as Mereb in Elton John’s Musical “AIDA” at the Wörtherseefestspielen and he played the role of both Petrus and Simon in the Musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” at the Viennese Museumsquartier. In spring 2009 he participated in the ORF hit show “Dancing Stars” and in the autumn of that year his first movie “Todespolka” premiered Europe-wide in the cinemas. In this movie he sang his first single “Sex Appeal” from his debut album “Step by Step”.
Vincent was born in 1985 in Vienna. His passion to music started to grow when he was 12 years old. He plays guitar, bass, the drums and keyboard. As a teenager he founded his own street dance crew, with whom he organises a yearly benefit dance contest for the Aids Support Vienna.
Vincent visited the Conservatory of Vienna and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical.

MATHIAS EDENBORN
was on stage as Fiyero in the hit musical WICKED in Stuttgart and is well-known in Vienna as Benvoglio in ROMEO AND JULIA at the Raimund Theater. Furthermore he played the character of Radames in Elton John’s musical AIDA in Amstetten. He also played the original Radames in the Europe premiere of Elton John’s AIDA in Essen and can be heard on the German CD.
Born in Sweden he visited the Kulturama School of Arts and the Royal Music Academy in Stockholm. After his debut as Tony in the WEST SIDE STORY numerous of engagements as e.g. Emi/e Lanrezac in Celine, Chris in Miss Saigon, Brusander in Björn & Benny's Kristina från Duvemåla and Peter in Sondheims Company followed.
He started his career in Germany as Graf Krolock in Tanz der VAMPIRE and recently played the same character at the Theater des Westens in Berlin. In St. Gallen he played the character of Javert in Les Miserables.
ANKE FIEDLER
Anke Fiedler was born in Magdeburg, Germany and studied at the University of Arts in Berlin.
She discovered her passion for musical early. Even before the beginning of her studies, she has performed in numerous productions on the stage of the free Theater Company in Magdeburg. During her studies she played among others in “Into the Woods” (at Kurt-Weill-Festspiele in Dessau) and “How to Succeed in Business?” (at Neuköllner Oper).
Later she represented Liz in “Chicago” as first cast member in Munich and Basel. Further engagements followed, just as Kommissar/Tod and Garbo in “Falco meets Amadeus” at the Theater des Westens, as Lorraine in “Dracula” at the German premiere, or in concerts with the “Jazzkantine” in Braunschweig.
Between 2003 and 2005 she played the “Amneris” in Elton John´s musical “AIDA” at the Colosseum Essen and in the year 2006 she staged Yitzak in the Rock musical “Hedwig” at the Metropol Theater in Vienna. Performances in TV followed f.e. for the MDR in the series “Magdeburg for Anhalter” with Uta Bresan, where she performed the song “Tell it”. In the TV production “Der zersägte Weihnachstbaum” she played Rotkäppchen. Moreover this multitalent contributed to the blockbuster “Gripsholm” next to Heike Makatsch and Jasmin Tabatabei.
At the moment she can be seen as soloist in the successful show “QI” at the Friedrichsstadtpalast in Berlin.
NADINE SCHREIER
After she graduated school the Hamburg – born received the Joop van den Ende scholarship at the Academy in Hamburg for her outstanding and artistic performances. During the three-year education she received an engagement for the character of Constance in “3 Musketiere” at the Theater des Westens in Berlin. She also played this character in the premiere of this musical at the Apollo Theater in Stuttgart.
More engagements for main characters followed. At the Sommerfestspiele 2008 of the Freilichtbühne Tecklenburg she played the role of Ariel in the dance musical “Footloose”. She played another main character in “Hairspray” at the Stadttheater St. Gallen.
As a studio sanger and dubbing actor she expands her repertoire. Due to her love to children Nadine Schreier became an ambassador of “Fans for Kids”.

MICHAEL EISENBURGER
After finishing his classic and modern study of guitar at the Essener Folkwang school, Michael was touring as an international musician with different rock and metal bands. Finally he toured with his own band called RECBOW up to 1999 when he first experienced the genre musicals as Seymour in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS.
The charismatic rock tenor, originally from the Ruhrpott, Germany, who already worked with Phil Collins, is known for his numerous big productions by most of his musical fans all over the world. His first leading role was Galileo in WE WILL ROCK YOU that he performed in Cologne, Zurich and Vienna. Further important roles of Michael were among others Enjolras in LES MISERABLES, Judas in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, Galahad in SPAMALOT and the leading male role Rich in ICH WILL SPASS in Essen´s Colosseum. |
